Movies for Rainy Days

We all know the feeling. It’s grey and drizzling outside, you could bear the downpour and meet up with a few friends or jump into your Dandelion pyjamas and hang out at home. Though a tough decision, there is really nothing better than curling up in a pair of crisp, cotton pyjamas with a good movie. If you’re struggling with with to watch, here are our top picks!

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

What better way to celebrate a day off than by watching the ultimate day off? Ferris Bueller is a legend when it comes to playing hookey as he shows us how to have the most incredible day. From driving a Ferrari to joining the Von Steuben Day parade, Ferris gives us serious day off goals!

The Notebook

Are you in the mood for something that makes you feel warm and gooey inside? Look no further than The Notebook, one of the best romantic movies of the past two decades. Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams and a whole lot of love. These star-crossed lovers show us how love conquers all.

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

If you’re like us and have already seen The Notebook (multiple times) and want something more modern, you cannot miss this movie! Made by Netflix, it is one of the cutest and most adorable romantic comedies we have seen in a long time. It doesn’t help that teen heartthrob Noah Centineo plays the lead!

Harry Potter

Harry Potter is for movies what Friends is for television. No matter what time of day or where you are, it’s so easy to slip under the spell of Harry and his friends. The only problem we face when it comes to Harry Potter is which movie to watch! We feel like each one offers so much drama, comedy and excitement; it’s impossible to choose favourites.

Despicable Me

When you have the chance to pick only one animated movie, you better make it a good one and we really hope we did! Despicable Me stars the voices of Steve Carell, Jason Segal and Miranda Cosgrove. And minions, lots and lots of minions. We love the comedy and sweetness of all three movies but we suggest you start with the first if you haven’t watched these before!

Depending on what your mood is, we are quite sure that one of these movies will hit the spot. We would love to hear what your favourite rainy day movies are so please post your choices on social media and tag us!
